Come join myself (Lauren) and learn about the tools to use and their care, the 3 D’s to watch for, when to prune, abnormalities and diseases to watch for, and how to make proper cuts. All key in maintaining a healthy tree!
Grasslands Nursery has a bathroom, lots of available parking, drinking water, and will provide snacks and coffee during break. It is recommended you wear layers to keep warm, warm shoes, and gloves/mittens. A good portion of this will be hands on outdoors. Rain, wind, or snow!

Do you want to have bountiful garden, but don’t think you have enough space? Are you worried your garden may cause backbreaking work? Think again.
Let us introduce you to the square foot gardening basics! We will go over materials to build your own raised bed, discuss soils, chat about watering practices, seeding squares, and get our hands dirty. Its fun, easy, and kid friendly! Call ahead to book a spot with us! Best part of this introduction – its Free!

BACKYARD CHICKEN KEEPING INTRODUCTORY
Chickens are a great addition to any household! They provide eggs for your family, fertilize your gardens, till the soil, control insects and weeds, eat kitchen scraps, and provide endless hours of entertainment.
Come join Jennifer Rabie at Grasslands Nursery to learn about Backyard Chicken Keeping. Jennifer will go over topics such as choosing the ideal backyard breeds, how to keep a healthy coop, general illness to watch for, breeding, wintering chickens over, and what to keep in your chickens first aid kit.
